Not a smiling matter

Strictly local story of the municipal pool that is reportedly too acid because the powers that be have run out of soda ash to balance the ph of the water. According to the Buffalo City Aquatics club spokesman, the water can irritate swimmer's eyes and skin and affect tooth enamel.  Simple - keep your mouth shut under water.

Dangerous curves

Very much a local story.  Leaches Bay, just outside of East London, and site of the old Grand Prix track, has become notorious over the years as a dangerous place to visit.  Fishermen are mugged on the beach, cars stolen or broken into.  People have been robbed and assaulted and recently a pastor was robbed and murdered. The police seem to be helpless or useless. This is a wry comment.

Downward slide

A veritable wave of denial from Number one when he proclaims that everyone overreacted to the firing of Finance Minister Nene. The downward spiral doesn't look like changing any time soon as the country goes down the economic plughole.

Keep your chirps to yourself

So, birds of a feather flock together.  Some stupid person makes racist comments on Facebook, and all of a sudden all the racists, of every persuasion and culture, add their 5 cents worth of bile.  It isn't helping !

Feeling insecure?

Well this is a spooky story. The spooks have been ripped off. Rumours have it that the money was a secret slush fund and the robbery was an inside job. Scary stuff but quite ironic.
