Playing games with my taxes
Can you credit this absolute waste of ratepayer's money. This so called sports event included such sporting codes as fishing, pool, a fun walk, darts, table tennis, touch rugby and beach soccer. Sounds suspiciously like a social event to me - and our illustrious mayor spent R 16 841 to attend as a spectator !

There are 4 million unregistered young voters who are driving the political parties bananas in the run up to next year's elections. Bloody youth - just when you thought they were always ready to join a PAAARTEEE!

Protection from leaks
Civil society greeted the news that President Zuma was sending the controversial Secrecy Bill back to parliament with positive remarks. It turns out that they will only relook aspects he highlighted - both sections, when re-written, will further protect the "classifiers" and do nothing to address the really contentious issues raised by all the Bill's critics. Say no more !

Back to Work
