Florence Nightmare
The East Cape Health department is notorious for its problems. This cartoon stems from a series of scandalous stories about treatment of patients at local hospitals. I came in for a bit of flak for depicting nurses in a bad light. Of course I realise that not all nurses are bad but as this is a general comment I was merely using the nurse as a stereotype figure to represent Healthcare as a whole. If the cap fits, as they say. Just ask the poor guy that was sent home to die.

"I didn't join the revolution to be poor". This was obviously the watchword of the ANC faithful who arrived to celebrate the ANC's 99th Birthday in their mercs, beemers and other high end vehicles. Some would say its a touchy subject, or maybe a better word would be errr.. tender!
