Water works (not)

Two seperate stories in today's paper where one community has had no running water for 3 months and another community has a tap that hasn't stopped running for over a year. The common denominator - useless service delivery.

Its all about those family dynasties. Nepotism means keeping it in the tribe. OOps, I've just noticed that I left off a zero on the cheque!

Stamping his authority

Separation of powers obviously means nothing as the ruling party decides that a brotherhood of dictators and presidents for life is more important than the rule of law.  No wonder that Africa is third world and getting worse.

Red carpet treatment

Our government really keeps some classy company.  South Africa hosts a summit chaired by that great dictator and ruler by violence, Robert Mugabe and welcomes Al-Bashir who was responsible for the genocide of 300 000 of his people.  Bloody good company.

Conspiracy of silence

So the ANC have closed ranks to shield Danny Jordaan. They made so much noise about the 2010 world cup and now they suddenly have nothing to say. Not a parp of the old vuvuzela.

Zuma takes a hike

How much longer can the poor South African tax payer carry all those citizens and their culture of entitlement? It feels like an uphill struggle.

damaged goods

Oh to be an ANC comrade, you can be accused of corruption, charged in court, refuse to step down and continue to cause chaos politically while not doing your job.  Eventually your political bosses get tired of your ineptitude but instead of just dumping you, they 'redeploy' you to a provincial government post, where you can continue to cause chaos (and possibly corruption) and be incompetent. Nice work if you can get it (and have no morals or ethics).

Fiks'll fix it

Fikile Mbalula running around with his motor mouth trying to shut everyone up and put out SAFA relate fires. We all wait to see who the infamous co-conspirators are when the FBI makes those announcements.

Musical chairs

Typical ANC strategy.  If the comrade is not performing, shift him or her sideways so they can continue to be useless in a different environment.
