So the ANC have closed ranks to shield Danny Jordaan. They made so much noise about the 2010 world cup and now they suddenly have nothing to say. Not a parp of the old vuvuzela.

I have no words.  BCM has closed the central reference library.  This is the region that has the lowest pass rate for school leavers in the country and a struggling local university. No comment from the city manager or any other relevant municipal official.

deafening silence

In any other civilized country, if there is a problem that is causing an outcry by the people and devastating the economy, the minister in charge would resign in shame. Welcome to South Africa where our illustrious minister of energy maintains an embarassing silence in the face of the Eskom crisis.  Shame on you Tina Joemat-Pettersson!
