Cutting down a little

Let's see how long Pravin Gordhan's austerity measures last withvthe government fat cats.  Without political will they can just continue to loot as they wish.  The thought that this is just an election ploy continues to niggle and after elections none of these good intentions will be enforced. The best New Year resolutions generally don't last long.
